Q.1 What sort of testing do you perform on your products?
A. All of our products go through a variety of rigorous tests. These tests allow us to identify what species the herbs are in, evaluate the active compound to assure potency, test for any heavy metals, pesticides and perform microbiological analysis.
Q.2 Do you use animal testing?
A. No. Ayu Nutrients is dedicated to the humane treatment of animals.
Q.3 Why does Ayu Nutrients package their products in plastic containers?
A. The plastic we use for our packaging is better for the environment than alternatives. It is PET (#1) and HDPE (#2), which is highly recyclable. Our bottling is BPA-free and considered safe, although it should not be reused.
Q.4 How should I store my herbs and when do they expire?
A. It is recommended that you store your herbs in air-tight packaging, away from sunlight, at room temperature or in a refrigerator. If stored correctly, they can last for years.
Q.5 Are Ayu Nutrients’ products manufactured in the U.S.?
A. Yes. All Ayu Nutrient products are produced in the United States. However, our partners source our raw herbs from around the world.
Q.6 Does AYU Nutrients Products comply with GMPs?
A. All of our products are manufactured in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) set forth by the U.S. FDA in our cGMP–certified facility. GMPs are related to the manufacturing, packaging, labeling or holding of dietary supplements. Manufacturers are required to evaluate their products’ identity, purity, strength and composition. Other requirements deal with such matters as quality control, the design and construction of manufacturing plants, record keeping and consumer complaints.
